GLOBAL PUBLIC RELATIONS STRATEGY

The strategy, explained in words.

01

An underwater milestone turned into a global conversation

GX Live Marketing designed and executed a multi-phase global public relations campaign to position Ocean Builders as a pioneer in sustainable underwater living.

The initiative centered on a Guinness World Records attempt for the longest stay in a fixed underwater habitat, with media coverage in the United States, Latin America and the Middle East.

02

From media strategy to the celebration

The work combined international media strategy, syndication and global pickup, media outreach in the Middle East, guest and press management, brand storytelling, content capture and strategic consulting.

The campaign also included coordinating the official record celebration at Linton Bay Marina, Colón, Panama.

03

The commercial objective and the announced agreement

The GX proposal sent in September 2024 set the objective of building global visibility and credibility for Ocean Builders and the SeaPod through the record attempt. That document does not specifically mention Maldives Floating City.

According to Gianfranco Ferronato, Founder of GX, the strategy around the Guinness record had a commercial objective from the outset: securing an agreement for Ocean Builders in Maldives Floating City.

On 3 April 2025, Ocean Builders announced an agreement with Dutch Docklands Maldives to participate in developing floating homes for the project. The announcement documents the agreement, but does not specify how many homes it covers or assess the causal contribution of the GX campaign.
